If you have looked at Yelp! for reviews of Touchstone Properties you will have noticed a low rating. This is mostly the result of former tenants not happy that we didn’t refund their entire security deposit when they moved out. Let us assure you that we deduct for non-wear-and-tear repairs only and have those deductions fully documented with supporting photographs.
Besides that fact, review sites such as Yelp! typically get more negative reviews because the reviewer is usually emotionally upset about something. There is a lot written about this (see here and here). And see this for a good laugh. After all, if someone gets what they paid for and expected, they are satisfied and just move on. They typically don’t take the time to give a positive review.
To add insult to injury, Yelp! has employed some type of automated software that reviews the reviews and, based on some formula, removes reviews it thinks are not genuine (see here and here).
That being said, you will see that all of the reviews by property owners that we work(ed) for are positive.
