Touchstone Properties provides several services which make the tenant’s leasing experience more streamlined and convenient. In addition to live customer service during business hours, we provide the following conveniences:
Tenants can set up a portal allowing them to access their payment history as well as to make a one-time rental payment or set up a recurring payment. When the tenant pays with an eCheck there is no cost involved. We also accept payment by debit and credit cards incase they have a cash shortage at the first of the month. The bank charges a fee of about 3% when a card is used. We do not charge anything for that convenience.
Tenants can instantly request repairs or maintenance at our website. They can provide a detailed description, authorize entry and even attach photos. We receive these requests immediately after they are submitted and assign them to a vendor as necessary. If a request is put in during non-business hours, the request will be waiting for us when we open.
If there is an emergency during business hours, a tenant need only call our office to report it to one of our management team members. We will immediately assign the repair to a vendor, indicating the emergency nature of it and requesting a quick response.
If there is an emergency during non-business hours, a tenant would still call our office but would then follow the voicemail instructions to report an emergency. They are given an opportunity to leave a message which will be forwarded to the on-call management team member who will call the tenant back within 15 minutes for details.
We have several handymen available for emergency repairs and also have established relationships with other vendors, all of whom are available to the on-call team member.
Pests are inevitable and an inconvenience for tenants so we make every attempt to lessen the disruption involved. When a tenant reports a pest problem, our team immediately starts the eradication process by following an established procedure, which includes a flowchart and checklist.
Touchstone Properties has formed a relationship with a local moving company allowing us to offer their services to tenants who are moving into or out of a property we manage.
